Job Purpose:
As a Technician III, you will play an integral role in ensuring optimal performance of Multi-Function Printers (MFP) for our clients. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing MFP devices while providing exceptional customer service and supporting the Service Manager in achieving department goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
- Diagnose and repair MFP devices to ensure timely and efficient service, minimizing customer downtime.
- Perform routine maintenance to extend MFP device lifespan and prevent breakdowns.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot MFPs, including network connectivity for printing and scanning functions.
- Provide on-site technical support, resolving customer issues and ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including parts used and repairs completed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and local regulations.
- Stay current with new models, technologies, and best practices in MFP repair.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager and team members to deliver a superior customer experience.
- Assist in managing parts inventory to ensure timely repairs.
- Provide feedback on recurring issues and suggest potential service improvements.
Training and Development:
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills and knowledge of MFP devices.
- Assist in training new technicians by sharing best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for all service calls, including work orders and reports.
- Manage time effectively, ensuring timely completion of service calls.
- Assist with territory alignment and maintenance as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification and training on the full line of manufacturer (Rich, Konica Minolta, HP, Lexmark) devices.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation (unless a company vehicle is provided).
- Strong understanding of network connectivity related to print and scan features.
- Ability to diagnose and repair business equipment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Broad understanding of hardware/connectivity technology and terminology.
Preferred:
- General knowledge of Microsoft Suite and e-Automate.
Working Conditions:
- Field-based role with frequent travel to customer sites.
- Occasional exposure to moderate noise and hazardous materials.
- Frequent local travel with occasional out-of-town assignments.
- Physical activities include standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, and lifting/carrying equipment.
